Child allowances in the Canton of Geneva are paid directly via the compensation office. Employees who live in France and have children receive child allowances, for example, on a quarterly, and not monthly, basis. These payments would have to be recorded with wage types “Previous-year child allowance correction” and “Child allowance correction” with assignment to the child. The text “Child allowance paid by the compensation office” now appears on the wage statement under section 15, even if only corrections with the correct amount were reported.
