Only applies to family compensation offices that pay family allowances directly to employees!
For example, family allowances in the canton of GE are paid directly to em-ployees by the Family Compensation Office (FAK) and not via the employer. In paragraph 15 (Comment Text) of the salary certificate, the relevant text appears: “Child allowances not included in wage statement, paid out by compensation office”. This text is mandatory because the sum of the paid family allowances is missing from the taxable gross wage sum.
Family allowances of the canton of GE also appeared on the payslip of companies working in several cantons. They had to be deleted or offset manually.
We searched for an automatic solution and have now implemented it.
You will find the Family allowances paid by compensation fund, compen-sation WT field in the Payroll Setup -> tab ‘Familiy Benefits’. Copy the family allowance salary type (LA 5210 by default) and assign the new ST number 5280. For example, the text of salary type 5280 is “Family allowance paid by FAK”.
Check the box for the employee in the ‘Child allowances directly paid by compensation office’ field in the Employee card -> Tab ‘Paycheck’.
This is to ensure that the Family Allowance salary type does appear on the payslip, and it is automatically offset with the same amount. Of course, only for employees with the box above checked.
