Verification of Registration and Possible Error Messages

If an employee contacts you to report that they were unable to complete registration or cannot access the system, the following steps will help you determine the cause:

In SwissSalary Direct:

Check employee details. A date must be entered in the “Registration Date” field, and “Yes” must be selected for “Email Confirmed.” Otherwise, the registration has not been completed. Has the company enabled email verification? If so, registration can only be completed using the email address on file in SwissSalary; this email address must be entered on the employee record, otherwise registration is not possible. The employee should repeat the registration process. This is also possible if an employee made a typo in their username; in that case, registration can be repeated using the correct email address.

In SwissSalary:

Add the “SwissSalary Rollout Date” column to the employee list and check whether the date is displayed there. This date is only displayed once registration has been fully completed.

Error message “Invalid registration code”:

A new code cannot be generated; it is specific to the individual and remains valid. The employee should test any possible variations. For example, there may be an “O,” which can be either a letter or the number zero. This error message also appears if the registration attempt is made on the wrong subdomain.

Employee does not receive a confirmation email:

A confirmation email must be received; if necessary, check the spam folder. The email can be resent by having the employee log in with the designated username. A message will appear stating that confirmation is pending, and the option to resend the email will be available. This confirmation email contains a link; click on it and wait until the SwissSalary Direct website appears and the corresponding completion message is displayed. Pop-up blockers can also cause an error here, preventing the website from loading.

If the email is repeatedly not received, the sender’s address no-reply@swisssalarydirect.ch should be added to the list of safe senders.

Reset Registration:

It is possible to reset an employee’s registration. This can be done by SwissSalary Support or the SwissSalary Direct administrator. The documents that were provided prior to the unregistration process will still be available to the employee even after re-registration. The original registration code will also remain valid.
