Time Type

This assignment creates the connection between individual salary types and the Time types table. Salary type assignment to a time type is required if balances like productive hours, holiday and absence hours, etc. are created or these balances are to be included in the payslip.

The assignment only takes place for salary types that are recorded with the number of hours or number of days. Purely cash salary types (salary components, allowances and bonuses, expenses, fictitious wage types) ARE NOT allocated.

Example: holidays

You would like to post holiday balance directly via SwissSalary and show it to the employee on the payslip. To do this, you need at least 4 different salary types:

Salary type No.

Owing to the recording of absences via SwissSalary, transaction data can be analyzed in detail at any time by salary type, time type or balance using various assessment options. Details via wage type are most comprehensive. One or more salary types can be incorporated into a time type, and one or more time types can then be incorporated into the balance.

You can freely define time types. Please note that the Time types table is cross-client. This means that a defined time type in client A is also available and can be assigned in clients B, C, etc.

The example of overtime shows various setup options for absence management:
