Following Salary Type

Following salary types have the advantage of defining several following salary types with a variety of options for each salary type. You can define which extra pay is calculated on which day of the week.

Example:

An extra pay of 25% is due on Saturday and an extra pay of 50% is due on Sunday. Previously, in addition to the hours worked report ST, two other salary types (work on a Saturday and Sunday) had to be created with the corresponding extra pay. Now you only need the 1700 MW reporting ST (hours worked) and salary types for bonuses (per weekday) in the “Following salary types”.

Several Following salary types can be defined in the “Subsequent salary types” table with different bonuses per weekday:

The columns below are displayed (by default):

Following Salary Type

Recording of the Following salary types number

Following Salray Type - Factor Quantity

Recording of the factor for the Following salary type in the “Quantity” field

Example: Payment of 100 overtime hours plus a resulting salary type bonus of 25%. The resulting wage type already contains 0.25 in the factor. This means that the 100 hours are transferred 1:1 from the initial salary type to the following salary type.

Following Salray Type - Factor Amount

Recording of the factor for the Following salary type in the “Amount” field

Example: Daily allowance adjustment ST should follow up the Daily allowance ST. After the input of the daily allowance amount, the same amount is transferred 1:1 into the "Amount” field in the Following salary type.

Weekdays (Monday – Sunday)

Document date (TapBoard/Report journal) is used to check the salary type sequence used to calculate the bonus. The calculation can only be made if, for example, hours worked are recorded accurately to the day.

Settlement Children Allowance by direct payment

In the cantons of GE and VS, some family allowances are paid directly to employees. In order to offset the amount in the ST wage amount, family allowance must also be calculated, but must be immediately offset again with a settlement salary type. The Following salary type (settlement) must be activated here.

Following Salary Type - Transfer Dimensions

If the box is checked, the dimension (CC/CU) entered in the initial salary type is automatically transferred to the following salary type.

The columns below can be displayed additionally:

Following Salary Type - Factor Rate

Recording of the factor for the following salary type in the “Rate” field

(rarely used; the initial value is usually recorded under “Quantity” or “Amount”)

Following Salary Type - Suggestion Line

If more than one resulting salary type are rowed together, the calculation is carried out down to the last salary type. The check mark can interrupt the calculation process. For example, the calculation can stop at the second resulting salary type and you can enter a different number or a different amount. The calculation then continues.

Day Types

If work is carried out on public holidays, extra pay that is applied on Saturday or Sunday usually also applies. You can add the “Day type” for holidays in the bonus row. The system then automatically recognizes from the booking that the same bonus must also be paid on a public holiday. Day types can only be used in SwissSalary Plus and when the working time calendar is used.

Time from/to

Night work hours can be linked to the corresponding following salary types (time bonuses and/or extra pay). They are only retrieved if a certain time period is fulfilled. This means that in the future special entry salary types will no longer be required for Saturday, Sunday or night hours. Bonuses can be calculated automatically by entering the Hours worked salary type and the corresponding following salary types.

The “Salary type list” report continues to show the resulting salary type with the “Job type” selection option, unless it has several of them. Then the message appears: “x resulting salary types are available”.

Many data checks and entries can be completely automated with the following salary types. For example, natural incentives up to CHF 500 are checked per event or per year.

Together with the existing columns:

•Maximum number

•Maximum amount

•Minimum number

•Minimum amount

•Limit amount calculation

•Amount calculation

The ‘Amount Calculation’ column features the options below:

Total amount (default value)

Differential amount (if ‘Differential amount’ is selected, the amount of the resulting wage type is reduced by the value in the ‘Minimum amount’ field)

Following salary types for short and long-term absence

Short and long-term absences triggering daily allowances can be differentiated by means of resulting salary types.

The functions below were adjusted/created:

Prior to inserting the journal row for the actual resulting salary type, the maximum interval is checked and additional lines are added if necessary.

Rows are created to fill in the interval.

The days to create an extra resulting wage type line for are determined based on the max. interval.

In addition, a refactoring was carried out to factor “Filling” and “Writing” out to the database.

Following salary type data record is filled

The resulting salary type data record is written with a new primary key to the database and subordinate following salary types are checked for. There is a new field “Max. interval” in following salary types. A date formula can be entered in this field (e.g., 2T for 2 days). It is possible this way to automatically fill weekends and/or public holidays with a daily allowance type in the event of absences (e.g., illness, accident). Daily allowance is calculated for daily allowance insurance using calendar days. However, absences are usually only recorded in EasyRapport (or other time recording systems) on weekdays. This way, it is possible to automatically add a line with daily allowance salary types in the Report journal for weekends and/or public holidays. Max. interval = 2T

Example:

The last day of absence was on April 30, 2021

If May 3, 2021 is entered in the Report journal, May 1, 2021 and May 2, 2021 are filled with the following ST in the Report journal (the gap between April 30, 2021 and May 3, 2021 = 2 days)

If May 4, 2021 is entered in the Report journal, May 1, 2021, May 2, 2021 and May 3, 2021 are not filled in. (The gap between April 30, 2021 and May 4, 2021 = 3 days)
