Initial situation

Instead of the no-reply address, an individual sender was possible to be stored for some time.

Emailing in Direct currently works as follows:

1. If the customer has not configured a “Sender email”:

An email is sent from “no-reply@swisssalarydirect.ch”.

This email address is authenticated by SendGrid using domain authentication (part of Sender Authentication).

2. If the customer has configured a “Sender email”:

In this case, the customer should have set an SPF entry on the DNS of the sender domain so that emails do not end up in spam.

It cannot currently be guaranteed that all customer who have adjusted this setting also have a corresponding SPF entry*.

*An SPF entry (Sender Policy Framework) is a text stored on a DNS (Domain Name System) specifying the servers authorized to send emails on behalf of a specific domain.

Up until now, any individual sender address could be stored, regardless of whether the address was valid or not.

If email addresses were invalid, the emails automatically ended up in a spam folder. It was therefore required that invalid sender addresses were not allowed and had to be valid first.
