NAV 2017 | Employee Card cannot be mutated

We have received feedback from some customers that data in the Staff Card cannot be mutated by some employees. The following error message appeared:

An attempt was made to change an old version of the ‘Personnel Master’ record.

After intensive analysis, an error with the new image format for employee photos (image synchronization event) could be detected and resolved starting from NAV 2017 and newer.
