It is now possible to upgrade from any version to any higher version without taking intermediate steps. When a higher version is being installed, all necessary upgrade steps are carried out automatically (AL; BC19 – BCxx). The same also applies to C/AL (NAV2017 – BC14), where the upgrade must be started as before by opening Organization, Personnel card or by manually executing the Update code unit.

Important: Up to version 5058.000, each individual version must still be installed and the upgrade must be carried out, only then any higher version can be installed.
