The solidarity surcharge (AVLZ) of 1% (Employee 0.5%/Employer 0.5%) will no longer be effective starting from January 1, 2023. For calculation in SwissSalary in 2023 to be correct, the percentages must be set to 0.00 in the payroll master data before the first pay process for the year 2023 (“ALV” tab, “Employer ALVZ %” and “Employee ALVZ %” fields). The 0.5% will continue to be charged for back payments after resignation in 2022.
