BVG Calculation mode

BVG calculation for the monthly automatic BVG calculation based on the fictitious BVG annual wage can be carried out retrospectively up to January 1 of the current year at the earliest. It can be particularly important in the case of a wage adjustment if it is to be taken into account retrospectively for the BVG calculation.

BVG deductions for employees subject to the L-GAV are made on the effective, monthly BVG basis. Retro-spective BVG base adjustment is not allowed.

So far, this control was solved with field Disable BVG calculation retrospectively. This selection field does not meet the provisions of the L-GAV, since according to the statutes of the PK GastroSocial, an employee must be insured at the BVG minimum wage if it falls below the BVG lower limit. Payroll personnel member uses the BVG code on the personnel card to determine whether an employee is insured or not.

Boolean field Disable BVG calculation retrospectively is now replaced with a selection field BVG calcula-tion mode. The update process correctly converts the old code into the new selection field.

retrospective

Default

If this is selected, BVG calculation also takes effect in the event of retrospective wage changes (consult your BVG contract to see whether it is provided for in the statutes).

Current period

Retrospective BVG calculation is not possible. A wage adjustment will be taken into account starting from the current month at the earliest.

Current period with minimum wage

This option is used for employees subject to the L-GAV.

The BVG base is always calculated on the actual, monthly BVG wage base (based on the obligations per wage type in the Subject to BVG field). A retro-spective BVG calculation as a result of wage adjustment is excluded. If the monthly BVG lower limit is temporarily undercut, the BVG deduction is carried out on the currently valid BVG minimum wage.

By correctly assigning the BVG code on the Employee card, payroll personnel member determines whether an employee is subject to BVG or not. If an employee’s income is consistently below minimum wage, they must be declared as not insured and reported to the PK GastroSocial accordingly.

The GastroSocial interface is available to you for reporting BVG wages to the PK GastroSocial.
