Calculation Period

When you perform precise data collection every day, you have many evaluation options like an absence report. As data often has to be corrected retrospectively (e.g., 8 hours of illness instead of 8 hours of accident), you want to find these corrections on the correct day. It was previously impossible, as only data from the current billing period could be processed.

Retroactively until Calculation Period	With this new option, entries with a document date < current billing period are also processed. This means that the data is processed and posted in the current billing period, but the corrected hours can be viewed again precisely on the correct day.
Only Calculation Period	This is the old default value. Only data with a document date in the current billing period is processed. After the update process, this value is up-to-date.

Tip:

Before you set the value to Retrospectively up to the billing period, please make sure that you no longer have any old data in any report journals. Many customers have accumulated data from previous periods over the years which, for some reason, have not been processed and posted. Please make sure to delete this old, erroneous data before you work with this new option, otherwise old, unwanted data may be recorded.
