Payment Days

The pay-out date for pay process can be selected in the Payroll Setup. Pay-out days can now be selected in the Bank details area, either by selecting Days before calculation to or Days after calculation from.

Examples for September 2010:

Days before calculation to

Pay-out days = 6

Result: September 24, 2010

The system calculates 6 days backwards from September 30, 2010 and gets Friday, September 24, 2010.

Days before calculation to

Pay-out days = 5

Result: September 24, 2010

The system calculates 5 days backwards from September 30, 2010 and gets September 25, 2010. Since September 25, 2010 is not a weekday (it is Saturday), Friday, September 24, 2010 is suggested as payday.

Days after calculation from

Pay-out days = 25

Result: September 24, 2010

The system calculates 25 days onward from September 1, 2010 and gets September 25, 2010.

Since September 25, 2010 is not a weekday (it is Saturday), Friday, September 24, 2010 is suggested as payday.

TIP:

If your payment deadline is the 25th of each month, we recommend setting up “Days after calculation from” with 25 days. If the 25th day falls on a Saturday or Sunday, Friday before this weekend is automati-cally suggested as the payday.
