The changes made allow us to perform stamping and break time calculations in a single location.

The new feature also added a new setting in the EasyRapport Admin Dashboard. The ‘Reporting’ tab now includes the setting ‘Minimum gap between work shifts (h)’. The value of this setting is set to 8 hours by default and is in accordance with Swiss labor law.

This feature also influences the calculation of automatic break deduction. If two-time entries (Came/Left) are further apart than the configured time, they are considered as two work shifts. Break deduction is calculated individually for both shifts.

This approach to detecting shifts also created automatic consideration of midnight transition. Subsequent manual corrections by managers or laborious clocking-out and clocking-in of employees at midnight are no longer necessary.

Here, the system also calculates break time, as long as this is configured in the corresponding SwissSalary EasyRapport group. Break deduction is always calculated on the day the shift ends. The calculated break deduction composition is shown in the ‘automatic break deduction’ field. Details are shown when the field is activated with the mouse.
